Christine Shropshire

Christine Shropshire is Associate Professor of Management & Entrepreneurship in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, where she is also a Fellow of the New Governance Lab. Her research interests are broadly in the area of corporate governance, including board composition and effectiveness, diversity in the upper echelons, and stakeholder management. In addition to currently serving as Associate Editor at Academy of Management Review, Christy sits on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Journal and was an Associate Editor at Business & Society 2020-2023. Among other outlets, her work has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Research Methods, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal. In addition, her research has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Forbes, New York Times and on National Public Radio. Prior to academia, she worked in Human Capital consulting, assisting corporate boards and executives and serving domestic and international clients in a variety of industries including healthcare and financial services.
