Jose is a tenured professor at ITAM in Mexico City where he teaches global strategy, leadership and oversees an executive education seminar for board members. He held different executive positions at ADO Mobility where he was also a board member before joining academia.

Jose holds a PhD from IE Business School and an MBA from Northwestern. His research focuses on boards, top managers, and IPOs. He has published academic articles, business cases and recently authored a book on corporate governance in Mexico.

He is Vice President of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management and editorial board member of Corporate Governance: An International Review.
