Mara Faccio is the Duke Realty Chair in Finance & Professor of Management (Finance) at the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. Her research interests are in international corporate finance, international corporate governance, and corporate political connections. Her research has appeared in the leading finance, economics, strategy, and accounting journals. Her work has received several awards, including a JFE “All Star Paper” award, and was twice the winner of the Sharpe Award for Best Paper in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. She has more than 20,000 citations in Google Scholar. Professor Faccio is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, a Senior Fellow of the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economics Research, and a Research Associate of the European Corporate Governance Institute. She is a Managing Editor of the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. She served on the board of directors of the American Finance Association and is currently serving as the Vice President Program-Elect of the Financial Management Association. Professor Faccio earned her Ph.D. in finance from Universita’ Cattolica (Milan).
